Place value of the numbers

The positional value is the position in which a digit is located with respect to a number, the highest value digit is the one on the left and the lowest value is the digit on the right. For example:

357.894

The highest value digit is 3 that corresponds to 300,000 or 3 hundreds thousands and the lowest value is 0.004 or 4 thousandths.
